BBQ Jackfruit Flatbread

Savory BBQ jackfruit flatbread

This recipe was developed by the chefs at Kansas State University during one of our product trainings.

Yields: 1 flatbread

Ingredients

1 pound The Jackfruit Company jackfruit
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 flatbread, prepared
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce, prepared
1 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 medium red onion, sliced
1/2 cup NUMU cheese, shredded

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine olive oil and Italian seasoning. Lightly coat flatbread with mixture. Par-bake crust for 5 minutes or until crust is light-golden-brown.
  2. Combine jackfruit, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Top flatbread with BBQ sauce, then add jackfruit, red onions & cheese.
  4. Bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is browned and BBQ sauce is bubbly.
