Ingredients
Cake batter
- 10 cups Flour, all-purpose
- 6 cups Sugar, white, granulated
- 3 cups Flour, semolina
- 1/4 cup Baking powder
- 1/4 cup Turmeric, ground
- 8 cups Water
- 3 cups Oil, canola
To bake cake
- 1/2 cup Oil, canola
- 1/2 cup Sesame seeds, white
Instructions
For cake batter
- In a stand mixer with a paddle attachment, combine flours, sugar, baking powder, and turmeric.
- Add water and canola oil to mixer. Mix until a smooth batter is formed and no clumps remain.
For baking
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a 1/2 sheet pan with oil, ensuring sides are also greased. Portion batter into greased 1/2 sheet pan.
- Top batter with sesame seeds and bake for 35-40 minutes or until cake is golden brown and baked through.
